EPSM students in the Semifinals of the Young Talent in Gastronomy competition.

Santiago Seguro and Léo Marques, students from EPSM, attended the national semi-final of the Young Talent in Gastronomy (JTG) 2025 competition, in the ICEL Table Arts category. The event took place on November 20th at Quinta do Lago, in the Algarve – and was the last of the three semi-finals in this edition.

In this stage, the categories competing were ICEL Table Arts, Manja Bartender, and F&B Management by Quinta do Lago. The event took place at the Bovino Steakhouse and Casa Velha restaurants in Quinta do Lago.

Alongside the competitions, there was an educational roadshow at Bovino Steakhouse, with workshops, cooking demonstrations, and other activities led by prominent professionals from the hotel and restaurant industry. Participants included names such as Lara Figueiredo (MACAM, Lisbon), David Jesus (Seiva), Filipe Ramalho (Páteo Real), and André Condeço (Sublime Comporta), who addressed topics such as "the world of vegetables," managing the F&B experience, and the rise of NoLo cocktails.

The JTG 2025 national final is scheduled for December 3rd and 4th at the Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism, where the three highest-scoring competitors from each semifinal category will compete for the title.

EPSM students have been a regular presence at JTG over the years. Some students have even qualified for the national finals, winning some of them.
