A Management Information Technology Technician is a qualified professional with skills in organizational management, specifically in building business/project management models, creating matrices using computer applications for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, with a view to achieving effective results. They are able to support the coordination of IT departments and to develop, install, and use computer applications in any functional area of an organization/company.
WHAT IT DOES?
- Install, configure and maintain different operating systems and application software, as well as databases;
- To evaluate and participate in the selection of utilities, as well as in security policies for computer systems;
- Develop applications in the area of management;
- Evaluate and participate in the selection of management tools;
- Analyze, test, and implement management tools;
- To parameterize and adapt existing management tools to specific needs;
- Analyze problems and propose solutions that are appropriate to the resources available within the company;
- Develop modules that complement management applications, tailored to the company's needs;
- To develop, distribute, install, and maintain computer applications, using object-oriented, procedural, and visual programming environments and languages;
- To develop, install, and maintain servers, pages, and information systems using web technologies;
- To collaborate in the management of human, material and financial resources;
- To participate in the execution of the company's general accounting;
- To support payroll processing;
- Use applications for invoicing, inventory, current accounts, fixed assets, accounting and payroll;
- To participate in the organization of processes and procedures related to tax obligations;
- To participate in the processes and procedures related to the various social protection schemes;
- To support the administrative and filing processes;
- Participate in the preparation of management reports and maps.
Young people who have completed the 9th grade and are no older than 25 years of age (at the start of the school year).
In terms of professional certification, the school awards a Level 4 Professional Qualification Diploma.
The course awards a Secondary Education Diploma (12th grade) and allows normal access to Higher Education.
In 2022, Diogo completed the Management IT course at #EPSM. His final internship was at HAVI, a logistics company, in Carregado, which soon invited him to stay. There, he currently works as Specialist Business Processes & Configuration.
However, after completing the 12th year, Diogo decided to combine his professional life with higher education. That same year, he joined ISLA -Santarém, a degree in Management Informatics, during after-work hours. Now, and about to complete the 2nd year of the course, he has taken on the role of CEO of ISLA Júnior Consulting, a company formed by students that provides services to companies.
At just 20 years old, Diogo Modesto is another example of success achieved by EPSM graduates and proof that, with effort, anything can be achieved.
